Before Jacobs, noone knew if a skilled boxer could go 12 rounds with Golovkin. Now we know its possible, its easier to imagine Ward going 12 and nicking enough rounds for an easy victory.

Like Jacobs, Ward is big enough to take anything Golovkin catches him with, so tend to agree with Roach here.

Not sure about Lara - sure, he can do the movement thing, but can he brush off getting caught. What we learned is that a big MW with skills can box him. Next question is can a small MW with skills box him.

Jacobs had enough of a 1-punch threat that Golovkin had to think his way in, and the foot movement to keep him resetting. Lara doesn't have that 1-punch threat.

If you believe everyone, then they've both been guilty of making it not happen. As it stands there is 15 lbs of difference on weigh in day and I can't see who is going to budge. Golovkin would be a very small LHW.

Lara and Ward! Ward is a southpaw that fights in an orthodox stance!

Ward is also one of the few switch-hitters who can fight southpaw effectively

his decision to stay orthodox against Kovalev happened because of respect...... Ward needed that well-educated jab at its best and Kovalev did not do enough to force Ward to give him any new looks, and Ward may have opened himself up for that right hand

switching is WAAAAAY over-rated, because so very few fighters can master it effectively, and most get themselves into trouble trying

all of the fighters who switch, but then almost immediately reset in orthodox stance, admitted that it was a wrong decision and are likely thinking too much

Lara will do the "movement thing," a.k.a. ring generalship, and that would fatigue GGG even more, however Lara is 10 times more accurate with his right jab and straight left than Jacobs. GGG's only way to beat Lara is a KO. Honestly, Lara should've gotten the decision vs. Canelo, or at least a draw!
