You going way back to Ali/Norton? SMH Did you watch this fight live? I honestly wasn't even alive then. You bringing up a fight from the 70's i have no clue if Norton already had a offer on the table from Ali or not but if he did then cool. Lol Now show me an example that doesn't have to go back almost 40-50 years. Just 1 example that even translates to today's boxing environment? The fact you going back early and mid 70's proves my point on how rare what GGG is demanding really is. Fights before PPV even existed. LMAO

Now how about that link.
New to boxing what you 70 years old? How many people on this site lived though Ali/Norton? If you did I tip my hat for your old azzz being able to work a computer/phone to post on a boxing forum. My guess is you didn't live through that fight and just a youngin who took all day to come up with an example and the best you got is fight 40+ years ago that nobody can comment on how because most on here weren't alive in the early 70's. LMAO

was that fight a ppv??
when a big fighter is involved no promotion is needed to sell out venue, but if its ppv the promotion really helps boost the sales among the casuals... doesnt mean that without promotion wont sell good, but it means that with the right promotion it will sell better, and that could be translated into millions of dollars for both fighters... of course if ggg is getting a flat fee he could care less about promotion...

PPV of that time was closed circuit tv. Big deal. Big money. We are talking about the biggest ever star in all of sports.

money wasnt as big back then for closed circuits, and on top of that it was the third fight.... just to put this in perspective alis biggest purse was 8 mill, canelo could triple that amount in his fight vs chavez and also for the ggg fight..

You dont know what you are talking about. Do you have any idea how popular Ali was? Not just in Mexico or NortAmerica. Ali was a global megastar. Bigger than anyone before or since.
It was the hw championship of the world. Biggest money in sports. Of course its comparable to Canela who isnt even known outside boxing-people.
He's stalled his own career man, he could've done so much more moving up in weight, but he and his team knew they would lose there. Loeffler and sanchez are a joke. Ridiculous to not have negotiated weight to begin with, but they just kept thinking they had this big star in their hands. No one's fault but their own.
Have you been hiding underneath a rock. He told everyone he wants all the belts. He wants to break Hopkins record on title defenses.Nobody wants to fight him because he hits too damn hard. Connello your idol has been stalling this fight for 2 years now.
