True indeed!!If anyone is prone to getting hurt it'd be Canelo in may. He's coming off an injury to his hand and he's going to be punching a guy with a cane man head in Chavez Jr. I don't see Saunders really doing much to jeopardize ggg's chance to fight in September. As far as promoting a ppv, wouldn't it help the promotion of ggg owned ALL of the belts at mw?Comment

Schaeffer could be trusted if he said Canelo will fight you in September, odh can't be.
When has Golovkin been cut or injured anyway? Week after Jacobs he looked healed up.
And Mayweather is kicking Canelo off September anyway. So lots of time after June.Comment

Simple, because Mexican Independence Day, along with cinco de mayo, are the two dates where history shows that sells the best on ppv's. add that canelo, arguably the biggest Mexican boxing star will headline and it makes cents and it makes cents it sure as hel.l makes dollars!Comment

LOL for real
That May-Pac fight was postponed for promotional reasons. Floyd pushed for that fight to happen and told the Showtime execs that it had to be part of his six fight deal. Arum tried so hard to delay it until there was no choice.
Canelo-Oscar have the advantage now and did when the fight was being brought up. The longer the fight is delayed, the more it hurts Golovkin and his team. If it doesn't happen in September then more of the blame would be on K2 especially when they have had opportunities to have a deal done before they went ahead with the Jacobs fight. Now after that performance, his overall value decreases because he didn't perform well against Jacobs and now he wants to go forward with the Saunders fight which could endanger the value even more.
Oscar said that this fight was going to get 1 million PPV buys when it was first rumored. I disagreed then and I definitely disagree now. The numbers for Golovkin-Jacobs show this.Comment

Articulates it better than him? Lmao he said the exact same ****I still don't agree with it but Schaefer articulates the points better than Oscar and I can kinda agree with what he's saying People say Floyd would start promoting his fights a month or two out, but that's Floyd. Neither of these two fighters are as big as Floyd, not even combined. If Oscar is willing to give K2 the split they want then Oscar is going to be looking to make a lot more money and the fight will need o be built. We know GGG because we're boxing fans. But 170k PPV's proves he hasn't crossed over. Hardcore boxing fans can push this fight to 600-700k PPV's but Oscar is looking to get this to a million. So I can kinda understand where he's coming from in terms of taking longer to promote the fight.Comment
