The reality is, and Frank does have a point, Crolla can't realistically go straight into a title fight after 2 clear losses in a row. Crolla could do with a couple of quick fringe wins.
In this circumstance, I'd be willing to be that Crolla's camp could also point out that, were it not against him, Terry Flanagan doesn't have a title fight worth putting on. Neither Mikey Garcia or Jorge Linares are going to want to head to the UK, fight on BoxNation, and draw the type of purse that would come from a half-filled Manchester Arena (if that); Garcia and Linares could fight each other, take the fight to Staples Center or have the fight hosted by MGM Resorts, and utterly dwarf the money that could be drawn with Terry Flanagan.

If Flanagan is truly looking for the biggest fight possible in his next title defense, I don't think that you can point to a bigger fight for Warren/Flanagan than to fight Anthony Crolla, whether he merits it or not.

I agree, but think Warren may look to cash out Stateside against Jorge Linares before seriously entertaining the idea of an all-Manchester showdown.
