  • Do you think Wlad is going there to win or for a payday?

Can't decide whether Wlad is going there to win or just to get a retirement payday.

Wlad is a natural competitor and from that perspective i feel like he's going to be there in full force.

The things that are coming out recently sound like a fighter who's looking to retire.

Does Wlad really believe he's better now than when he was in his 20's?

I think right now he has every intention of winning but thats easy.

lets see during the fight when it gets tough if he takes any risks and makes any adjustments.

He showed vs Fury he is OK with just losing and not taking any risk or adjusting to win the fight.

id imagine looking to win, but whether he can pull the trigger or not is another question. im not convinced by joshua but if wlad is completely shot he will blast through him.

I think he's going in to win (at least from a mental standpoint) for sure. I don't think he'd disrespect the sport by going in to a fight he's not truly trying to win.

That being said, the article posted yesterday where he was talking about how he'd like his last fight to be in Ukraine was a bit of a red flag. I'm gonna assume somebody asked him about it and he didn't just bring that up randomly but still to be talking about where you'd like your retirement fight weeks before a huge fight was a bit off putting.

I think he's going there to win. As respectful and polite as he can be, he's still quite an egotistical man in his own way. I doubt he would go there to lay down for anybody just to pick up a payday and it's not like he needs the money. He's definitely a competitive person.

Whether he still has the fight in him once the bell goes is another thing.

Silly question. A proud long time champion who believes he still has the game to beat an untested champ. But if he fights like he did vs Fury,he's a goner.

i dont think you people realize how much money wlad has made throughout his career. he has more money than he could spend in 10 lifetimes. he isnt the kind of person who needs money as a status symbol or to validate himself as a humanbeing either.

if there is one fighter in boxing i can say is fighting completely regardless of money, its wlad. he does it 100% for his legacy and the love of competition.

the question with wlad has always been how badly he wants it, how tough he is. but i dont think he ever wanted it more than he does right now. this fight will have such a big impact on his legacy, although i dont personally think it should.

the new question is how much he has left in the tank considering his age. if he can still pull the trigger. thats usually the first thing to go, for someone like wlad who was so incredibly careful and timid even in his prime he could be even more susceptible to this issue.

He is embarrassed and pride has been damaged. Wlad is coming to win.

                  Wlad has made enough money.

Wladimir Klitschko is coming to the UK to take back what is rightfully his. Or, was his until taken by the true, Lineal champion Tyson Fury. Outside of Fury, Wladimir is the best in the division and he has every intention of proving that. Anthony Joshua is in for the toughest night of his boxing career. A win here legitimizes him as top dog outside of the Gypsy King.
