Dominate one weight or several, your preference?

I think this is very relevant in today's boxing world because there are a lot of double standards plaguing the way fighters are viewed. For example: I was surprised to see so many calling for Barrera's retirement after the Juarez fight. One bad performance does not qualify a man for retirement. But is a fighter better regarded for dominating one weight class his whole career, or do you think more of a guy for winning titles at several weights? There is no doubt that Marvin Hagler dominated the middleweights, nor that Kostya Tszyu earned his place as one of the best 140-pounders of all time. What's your preference in terms of a fighter's achievements?

Personally, I can't stand fighters fighting in multiple weights. It does make more fights, but there's too much confusion about the who's who in each class

I Prefer them to dominate at one weight, but suppose it's up to each fighter to decide

The Top fighters should match each other at each weight until the fights are done.

        E.G

\at 140, Floyd Hatton Cotto Kostya (before) and eveyrone else shoulda fought.

The best should then move up AFTER he's CLEANED the division.

You should not move up before the best fights have been made.

Each fighter should take the path of most resistance. Only when this is done can greatness be achieved.

dominating at one weight for many years, ie undisputed by beating, or preferably KO'ing other champs is the ultimate achievement........

          whereas....

winning titles in different weight classes, vs hand picked so called champs, paper champs, vacant titles, etc is still good man, but nowhere near as proven as the above.........i like floyd but wtf has he done at welterweight or light welterweight....at welterweight he has beaten mitchell and judah (no titles, oh sorry, judah had a "title"), and at light welterweight mayweather beat corley, bruseles, and gatti for his "vacant won" title!...now mayweather is good of course, but how on earth has be become to be called the p4p king!!...my only thought is that this is crap propagated by the networks.........therefore, let Mayweather take on and KO the likes of hatton, cotto, etc and then give him his p4p status.....

even his "title" at welterweight vs judah was a just won fight.......

this is why Mayweather has a lot to do to gain any status near as good as King Kostya's............i hope i get to see mayweather achieve this!

I prefer when they win titles in different weight divisions. Why not move up when you have one weight class totally dominated? As long as it's not going to hinder your performance.
