Since we all know Oscar has no intention on putting Canelo in with GGG, it's his September opponent right there. Oscar making Canelo look like a b*tch, I really believe Canelo would fight him and has a shot to really win that fight. I dont think Oscar shares that confidence in his own fighter. He would earn more respect in defeat rather than avoiding the fight.

Both are Golden boy fighters... only makes sense to showcase DL on the biggest card of the year. IF it leads to a showdown with Alvarez in the future so be it. Both are young fighters with plenty of upside and no time table.

David v. Canelo on Mexican Independence Day. Saunders v. GGG in Kazakhstan on 6/10/17. GGG likely to fight again in fall 2017 (Andy Lee?). Can we at least hope that GGG/Canelo is Cinco de Mayo 2018?

it's not Monroe's fault Rosado cant cut off a ring. hate it or love it Willie will make Canelo look awful. "boring" is subjective anyway. I didn't say Canelo ducked out of fear but they don't want him to look bad. period. styles make fights. the winner of Rosado/Monroe was promised a shot at Canelo but it's obvious they wanted the punching bag Rosado to win. you cant go back on your word just because the guy has a certain style. Canelo needs a stationary target to shine like Angulo, Smith, Chavez and most likely Lemieux next.

Monroe best win of his career was against a faded Rosado with 10 losses Canelo has beaten fighters who do what he does but better and so has Lemieux.

Be serious no one is ducking Monroe he's a top 15-20 contender at best who stunk it up his last fight. Rosado has 2 wins in the last 4 years beating him doesn't guarantee you a fight against canelo. Fighting better fighters for more money instead of low level fighters fans are not talking about is NOT ducking LMAO

Smart move by GB. Putting Lemieux on the card will draw more Canadians to watch on PPV. This move puts serious pressure on GGG to either sign now or move on. Golovkin is being "penny wise and pound foolish."

Being a realist and seeing the situation for what it is, GGG and Canelo won't happen this year, so Lemieux vs Canelo is definitely a good fight. Let's be honest Monroe barely got past Rosado, and stunk it up, nobody wants to see him fight right now.
