Linares would be a P4P fighter if...

he had any sort of defence, didnt slap during his combinations, had power, didnt get blown out by cab drivers in the first few rounds cuz he has no chin, actually beat someone decent rather than the Crollas and Kevin Mitchells of this world.

So yea other than that he could probably make the P4P top 50

Linares' power comes from blinding handspeed, timing, and precision. He slaps? It is more of a touchup before landing the final blow. Calzaghe is a slapper, floyd slaps with his left hook and so does Broner. Linares isnt one of them, his form is near perfect..

TS must have been a Crolla nuthugger lol love the salt in this one.

Linares is a beautiful fighter to watch his form is near flawless yes he had his bumps on the road earlier in his career but he is a far better fighter now, his skill is top notch.

And is one of the best 135lbers today.

Floyd doesn't slap with his left hook and neither does Broner. It's probably both of their best power punch.

Valero was still alive and stayed in Japan with him as his sparring partner.

Floyd mixes them up with a fully commited hook, check hook and slap hooks to set up or disrupt his opponent's rhythm. Not everything is thrown the same.

Linares slaps too at times but it is thrown with a purpose and he is far from that kind of fighter..

I agree he is overrated off of two recent wins over a guy that wasn't very good but you make him sound like a complete piece of ****. He is a good fighter and doesn't deserve to be talked about in your typical mean degrading way. He never fought any taxi cab drivers. Try being nicer to your fellow man. That change would be an improvement. All these guys that fight for a living deserve respect, not insults. Linares has lots of KO wins for a guy who "can't punch". He is the lightweight champion of the world so how bad can he be?
