    Kovalev > Golovkin

Hello forum, ive been gone for a while but now im back with a vengeance.

Ok so this is my take:
After watching Golovkin - Jacobs i think its pretty evident that Kovalev is the better more complete fighter of the two, and p4p the harder puncher. Ward had trouble with Kovalev's power whereas Jacobs didnt seem to be too stunned from the GGG power strikes.

For the record i like to see myself as pretty much unbiased, i wasnt a fan of Kovalev before the Ward fight but after watching im definetly a fan and i had Kovalev winning by 1 round + the knockdown, in the GGG - Jacobs fight i thought the decision was fair seeing as GGG got the knockdown, so i had him winning by 1 round aswell.

The difference here tho is that Ward is the much better fighter then Jacobs. Not taking away anything from Jacobs hes a great fighter aswell but not on Wards level. Maybe it is due to aging or whatnot but GGG wasnt that impressive at all imo, his jab was great as always but other then that he seemed hesitant to pull the trigger and had alot of trouble pinning Jacobs down, i remember that saturday screaming at my TV-screen, chanting for GGG to "kill that m0ther****er, end his life" but it never happened so all in all i thought the GGG - Jacobs fight was the dissapointment, mainly due to how GGG fought the fight, cant blame Jacobs for trying to outbox him.

Kovalev on the other hand dominated early and you could see Ward was clearly bothered by the punching power of Kovalev, but as the rounds went by he started to close the lead, i think alot thanks to all of the body jabs, and Kovalev doesnt seem to have the best engine, we saw him tire at the end of the Chilemba bout and the same happened vs Ward, but as i said i still thought Kovalev just squeeked by in victory over Ward.

GGG has the better engine but he clearly has problems with technical boxers that moves alot, maybe as i said this is due to his age catching up but its worrysome imo, Kovalev had a way easier time pinning down Ward who is way better defensively then Jacobs is.

Im a fan of both GGG and Kovalev but imo Kovalev is better

i agree........kovalev is 50 times better then golovkin. golovkin has a good jab but kovalovs is better. better foot movement, faster, more dimensions. meaner streak.

    overall much better then golovkin.

True LHW power Hahahaha couldn't even knock out glass chinned bum jacobs who was knocked down cleaner by feather fisted Sergio Mora.

Utterly embarrassing for the triple bum.

175 is currently the strongest division in boxing, it's basically 3 divisions in 1. You can't move up 7lbs, you can't even move up 14lbs.

It's also around the average weight/height for men in both the US and Europe. You also rarely see guys draining themselves to make weight, they come in relatively comfortable and healthy.

Kovalev is better at controlling distance than GGG. GGG has more variation in his offense. Kovalev is more comfortable on the back foot.

I used to think GGG was clearly above Segey but after the Jacobs fight I'm not so sure. I can't envision Jacobs style troubling Kovalev.
