I thought that as well, you could argue one round from 1 to 5 being one of Jacobs, but the rest were all Golovkin rounds where he controlled the center of the ring and controlled the fight distance with his jab and better quality of cleaner punches.

I wasn't even taking about golovkin.. but there was no way Jacobs could go in there back peddling just surviving and winning a decision with the champ.

He could win the fight on the backfoot, Sugar Ray Leonard did it against Marvin Hagler, the difference is Jacobs didn't have the balls to commit probably because he thought he would get knocked out if he did, instead he opted to remain on the backfoot and allow himself to be outworked.

I've got no idea what you're talking about in the first part of your sentence, you might want to look at what you typed originally.

          Naw, that's bull****.

Harold Lederman gave Jacobs the first two rounds. Just to use one example.

You have to figure that Mexican announcers understand boxing.

Wasn't Canelo on a rival TV network at the time, though? Or maybe I'm misremembering that.

The Brits had Jacobs winning as well.

The domestic market had GGG...no surprise there.
