  • Comments Thread For: Jacobs' Manager: GGG's Side Will Make Excuses to Avoid Rematch

Daniel Jacobs is very willing to fight Gennady Golovkin again. Jacobs' manager doesn't believe the feeling is mutual. Keith Connolly told BoxingScene.com that he expects Golovkin's handlers to try to keep him away from a warranted rematch with Jacobs at least until Golovkin gets the fight he really wants a lucrative showdown with Canelo Alvarez.

Danny can get it in December, but the next time around he's not getting a 38 hour rehydration window, and he might have to agree to a 2nd weigh in. It's one thing to enter the ring 175, another to come in 184.

And what's with Keith Connolly? In an interview with TBV, he admitted he's not Jacob's actual manager anymore, he gave that up to Haymon. Dude's a parasitic cuckhold, he's not making the decisions.

lol stop crying and queue 1st behind BJS & canelo
next golovkin team won't behave over confident and generous, no more weight in extension or probably they'll add rematch clause

I don't want to see this again. It's a waste of a fight.

Connelly should actually try to make plans for Jacobs in another good fight instead of waiting for a year for his daddy Haymon to schedule a fight for Jacobs. Let's see if you are really a manager or just someone that is completely dependent on getting an ok from a guy that has 200 other fighters to worry about. Jacobs lost, but his stock rose and he deserves a fight. You know Golovkin has immediate plans. NOw make your own plans and stop complaining.

it is not fair to say GGG does not want a rematch. Jacob's fault. they did not push for a rematch clause in the contract.

GGG had plans about home coming fight, unifying the division and the forever Conelo fight waiting.

The idea of Jacobs/Lemeiux sounds great. Not sure if either fighters management team wants to risk an L when big money fights against Alvarez or Golovkin (yes BJS if he can win in the proposed June fight with 3G).
It would be very smart to get one or both back on in the next Canelo or Golovkin fight for the exposure.

It'd be a fun fight, but you're right that neither guy would want to risk that kind of war against each other when there's greater money on the table.

I really think DiBella makes Jacobs/Lee. Lee looks vulnerable as ever and it's a marketable fight in NY for Danny.
