It will have to happen but I doubt it happens anytime soon.

Realistically how long will Mikey stay at 135? 12 months?

This is what he was saying back in 2015:

“I’ve been staying in the gym but we’re at 156 or so right now. I’ve actually been as high as 161. Those are numbers that I’ve never seen before. Never. Not even last year when I couldn’t make the weight. My body just gave up. Last year, when I fought Martinez and when I fought Burgos, just to get to 130, I was already walking around at 154,” said Garcia.
If Lomachenko and Garcia fight it will probably need to happen this year.

        This.

I mean I think its makeable I just wouldn't suggest its easily makeable. Bad blood in boxing often makes things harder to put together & even when things can be done it tends to take longer.

He cameback on a DiBella card. Then he had the Ringstar fight.

Yeah he had a one time deal with DiBella for Rojas, just read on wiki and ESPN but it was TR who announced his come back.

All quite odd. So who promoted him for Zlat?

Anyway, it still shouldnt be difficult to at leats make Linares, then Loma later.

I don't recall that. Might have been some sort of damage control. Might have been some prelim talks to fight a TR guy that didn't work out idk. I'm a notorious announcement forgetter/don't really give a f#ck about them 2 days later guy doe.

There were several promoters involved in that card, but Ringstar was the head promoter. And it seems like Richard Schaefer is one of Mikey's key guys he's talking to these days.

I think Linares is already on the table from what Mikey hinted at last week. Or idk what else GBP would have for him that makes much sense. I think thats what Mikey should be going after right now.

But again I don't trust Arum to get anything done easily in particular when there has been beef in the past. And Mikey would probably be like a deer walking across a 5 lane highway after feeling f#cked over previously.

Yeah even Linares has been talking up the fight so it is very likely and it's a damn good fight. The winner is clear number one at 135 (Linares is current but he needs that ONE more big win).

As for Arum, apart from him wanting to control his fighters and their finances as much as possible ,he has always been someone to put aside personal differences to make the biggest possible fights. His feud with King was bigger than any of this Mikey or May rubbish yet he worked with him time and time again.

Mikey could do a straight 1-2 to becoming one of the true top fighters, LInares then Loma.
