I prefer watching the best so Marquez is who I would rather watch. Marquez is an all time great. Linares is a good fighter but nothing extraordinary. A fight between them wouldn't be a close fight. Marquez would figure him out and then knock him out in my opinion. He isn't in Marquez's class.

I am sorry. I read your title quickly and missed that you said the 2009 Marquez when I thought it was prime against prime. Marquez was past prime in 2009. I still think he would KO Linares but Linares would put up a better fight against an older Marquez.

Style wise for me, I would say Marquez. In his prime he was real good and it was great to see him land the right. I am referring to his early days when he used to perform at the Forum. Prime vs. prime Marquez takes it. Now though I would favor Linares as Marquez's best days were nearly a decade ago.
