before i got sidetracked, i agree with the thread. i said this would happen, there was never an issue about weight. ggg haters just wanted a stick to beat ggg with, so that was an easy one for them to use 'great fighters move up in weight'. its no secret that charlo and canelo were going to move up to middlweight, and as far as im aware jacobs has been a middlweight for a while? yet people until the exact point of abel sanchez saying they were moving up, were saying middlweight was trash and he has to move up to 168? when i used to ask these people who they wanted him to fight at 168, they didnt have an answer. but they kept rehashing the same old **** 'hes a fraud until he moves up'. And now he wants to move up 'hes running from middleweight as its heating up'. the truth is middleweights nowhere near as **** as its been made out to be and now with charlo and golovkin joining hte mix its a very solid division, but we knew they were going to move up anyway so lets not pretend its took everyone by surprise. Im happy if he stays at 160 but im happy if he fights degale and ramirez at 168 too. i just want to see good fights.

You said Golovkin would avoid a rematch after struggling with a B level fighter and Canelo, the two toughest fights at 160 and run up to 168 to fight bums like Eubank? NO you didn't.

If he skipped 168 and went to Kovalev, Beterbiev, Stevenson he would be criticized for ducking 168 and then lets say he goes and fights Joshua, Ortiz, Wilder and retires 50-0 he would be criticized for something else.

We are dealing with Boxing "fans". Some are sound of mind and can be level headed and mature and some will just hate a fighter blindly and will always find a negative. Some will love a fighter unconditionally regardless. It is what it is.
