Forget the pure clinic Linares gave, and the obvious gulf in levels.. where are the people that said no matter what happens the UK scorecards would be hooky and we'd rob anyone just for Crolla not getting ko'd?

I didn't see anyone saying that but I think there was concern among some that taking a rematch in the UK was risky. I even saw a British guy earlier say he bet on Croll, because he had hometown advantages.

I think the scores were good, and reflected the fight well so bravo to the judges.

I saw numerous people saying that Hearn was gona buy judges, Linares would get robbed.. hell.. im even gona bring in that people were saying crolla would lose but they said judges would make it close to make him look better.

Judges did good tonight agreed. Wonder if this and the first fight will be mentioned next time some people on here start talking about the brook vs spence fight? even though two of the judges will be selected by the IBF and have nothing to do with the BBBofC

It's pathetic how people claim that. Lol I actually think I've seen more robberies/bad scores in the UK work AGAINST the hometown, English fighter!

One of the biggest robberies I've seen is Matthew Hatton vs Lovemore N'Dou. Hatton controlled that fight from start to finish, and won at least 117-111, yet the fight was called a draw.

The first fight Crolla had against Perez, Crolla clearly won, yet it was called a draw.


USA has had TERRIBLE scores, and robberies of epic proportions - Pac/Bradley I.


Yet Americans on here still seem to believe that "USA is the best place to fight." It's ridiculous.

I think we usually get the winner right over here aside from that time Beltran got robbed against Burns. Nothing else really sticks out. But some times the scorecards are closer than you'd expect.

Gavin McDonnell getting a draw on Ian John Lewis' card and the first Crolla/Linares fight being too close.

The other point is the elite fighters like Linares routinely travelling to the U.K is a relatively new thing. It is not in British boxing's interest to rob these guys because the money and interest is there and we have plenty of guys for them to fight.

Linares could get beat my Garcia and come back and match-up Flanagan or even Luke Campbell.
