Salido is one of the biggest cheats in this generation of boxing though. The constant low blows, the headbutting, the punching behind the head...I've got very little to say about Salido in a positive manner.

But the truth is that nobody considered Salido a cheat before the Lomachenko fight (and he had already failed a drug test!). He won the fight and all of a sudden became one of the dirtiest fighters on the planet. Sure he was dirty that night, so was Lomachenko but most people overlooked the non-stop clinching he did for some reason.

Calling him one of the biggest cheats of this generation is quite an exaggeration. Salido is old and faded, he realized he has to use every trick in the book, even if that means using dirty... - I mean veteran - tactics to be competitive against younger and fresher fighters, but in no way he has made a career of being dirty.

Easy night's work for Linares; he was a joy to watch apart from when he got sloppy in the 8th. Crolla is a good operator, but Linares is levels above. Nearly fainted when the judges all gave the same scorecard as me; was sure there was going to be a baffling 115-114 in there.

Watchable fight, though. Saved what was an otherwise unusually pish Matchroom card. The Rose fight was absolutely awful.

If getting up from a knock down to win the next round whilst being severely outclassed, refusing to be bailed out by your trainer, and knowing that your being humiliated by a superior boxer but wanting to stay and fight the full 12 rounds infront of your home crowd to protect what little bit of self dignity you might have left in front of 20,000 people isnt heart, then i dont know what is.
