One day when you become an adult you will realize that I can hate ODH, make non stop jokes about him sucking d1ck for coke while wearing women's underwear yet watch his show on ESPN because I like boxing more than I hate him.

All this because I asked if ESPN would do anything after his DUI. They didn't. It was a legitimate question no matter how much it upset you personally.

ESPN moved on. I moved on. ODH moved on and is back to wearing see through stockings when he sneaks out of rehab.

In that thread I said you and everyone else that voted nothing were right and I haven't mentioned anything about it since.

I watched and taped the show primarily because Tapia is a local Jersey guy and one of my favorite pros. I plan on watching all the cards as I stated when the deal was announced .

If you look at the thread when the deal was announced I was supportive, like the strapless bra ODH prefers.

Not to be a jerk about it, but weren't the 2014 ESPN boxing numbers skewed by the fact that Klitschko-Leapai was carried by ESPN? Beyond that, given compelling fights, PBC on ESPN has seemingly been able to show that the audience on ESPN for boxing could end up being 4 times the audience on ESPN2, at the least.

Klistchko-Leapai was on a Saturday on ESPN...not sure why it would be counted with Friday Night Fights.

Either way, it didn't do that big of a rating (468k)..so I'm not sure how much it could skew FNF's ratings.

FNF had been a staple of boxing on ESPN2 for years (with the last few not being all that good, but whatever); if the historical audience numbers for FNF were basically 300k viewers (a five-year look back should be possible), that should logically be the target for Golden Boy, imo (especially if the eventual plan, I'd hope, would be to take over the old FNF placement on ESPN2 to develop their prospects into assets that Golden Boy could possibly take to HBO).

250k, from what you've listed about the old FNF numbers, is as good a start as any; keep the matchups solid (the first two cards seemed to be properly matched affairs), and the audience will settle into the habit of tuning in to watch good prospect fights on ESPN2

FNF was a staple, and it will take some time to build the audience back up.

I don't know how well the GBP series will do, but it does hurt it that just like the PBC, the dates aren't set....it won't always be on the same date/time every week, schedule predictability that helped FNF.

Quigley beat Glen Tapia by UD 10.

It wasn't much of a main event.

It will be interesting to see how the upcoming fight card this weekend does.

Saturday night, prime time, and a much better main event with Antonio Orozco and KeAndre Gibson.

That telecast "should" draw ratings...but we'll see if it does.
