This guy already has 50 bouts coming in as an 10 year pro. He had Wars, he had some beat downs even though it was from Mayweather, that still takes something from you. He had some wear and torn in his years as a professional, and probably like Benitez, his prime won't last long. By the time he probably be 29, he could be passed his prime.
Canelo maybe 26 but he isn't a fresh twenty six.

How many punishing fights has Canelo had? Mayweather hit him a lot, but that's it.
He didn't have a long amateur career, he learned mostly as a pro. He's 26, he's not been hit hard very often, he's not had any real wars...he's fresh. -
no he didn't. that was one of the slowest paced fights ever. floyd landed like 5 punches a round to canelos 2 and thats why he won.Comment

Mayweather hit him more than he ever gets hit, that was a lot of clean shots by Canelo's standards.
Other than that fight, he doesn't get hit all that often, especially with clean shots.
He's not got much wear on him.Comment

Canelo is not even in his prime yet. He's going to be boxing' biggest star for years so look for him to fight twice a year now. I don't think he'll have more than 65 fights when he's through. Depending on his career from here in out he has a chance to be an all time great.Comment

Lol. The imagination on some of the posters here.... Some fighters have 300+ amateur fights before going pro. Canelo had less than 50 I believe. He also has good trainers and fairly smart training practices (most wear and tear happens in training) and has certainly not been in a lot of wars.
If you want to attack Canelo, fair enough, but pick a legit angle. This one is a huge miss.Comment

He is fresh. He trains hard and he stays in shape. You never see him fat. He never got beat up in any fight. He improves with every fight. He has improved even since the Cotto fight. I am sure he would KO Cotto in a rematch.Comment
