Good to hear Jr is taking this opportunity seriously. Hopefully he can make it a competitive fight and not just be a punching bag for the entire fight.

This is EXACTLY what I'm thinking. Chumpez is just a lazy, spoiled phuck, let's be honest with it. His dad is a boxing legend and his girl's family runs a cartel.

He has an iron chin and a good amount of power, plus.....he is going to be MASSIVE in the ring compared to the diva, MASSIVE.

This fight will define the best Mexican boxer in the world in the eyes of millions of fans. You better believe this one-time dud is going to put everything on the line to make it count. He and his dad have to absolutely HATE the diva and her pimp. Winning this fight transcends the normal rewards that come along with winning a match.

Winning this fight is a legacy sealer for him. Forget a career rejuvenator, this will make him a Mexican star again.

When he hits the diva, and that lily white face starts to redden up with a quickness, she gonna know that this cherry wasn't quite ripe enough to pick.

Chavez jr is a fascinating case study on entitlement.

He went from joke, to semi serious, back to joke. And he does not give a crap.

But here's the deal: he can fight. At 160 he was a hugeee. He does have some natural talent. The guy had no amateur career, eats cereal for championship fights, and "trains" in his backyard. For gods sake HE DOES NOT TRAIN Guess what? He ko'd lee and had Martinez on the ropes.

No amount of match making or cherry picking can help truly mediocre boxers become champs. You do need some real talent.

I genuinely believe that he has some real talent but never developed it. Canelo has worked REALLY HARD on his skills, nothing seems natural.

Massive if: if the Chavez that KO'd Lee shows up (massive chin, good power at that weight) he will beat Canelo. H

Man, Canelo better hope like hell he maintains focus on Jr throughout the buildup. All this Golovkin talk has potential to distract him from a guy who, just maybe, might be taking this seriously.
