I always go with the technical guy over the brawler. I have Brook by decision

Best fight in a while! Skilled and equally so! Plus both guys seem intent on doing harm. Brook might outbox him. Spence has to go for the KO.

I honestly don't have a clue. Errol Spence, Jr. has looked great so far, but there are many questions which need to be answered. He could prove to be as good as the hype says he is, or he could be another Jeff Lacy. There is also the factors of any lasting damage Kell Brook sustained in the Gennady Golovkin fight, plus coming down in weight after packing on the muscle to make 160. I really don't know.

I like Spence. I think he's bringing something Brook hasn't seen before in the ring & I can't believe the fight with GGG did much to help Brook's chances between the weight gain or the new orbital configuration he's got attached to his skull.

Spence has only fought a handful of live opponents, but he's usually looked impressive vs them & certainly more dominate than Brook has looked vs similar caliber guys one can argue. And while Brook is by far Spence's best opponent, I believe Spence to be Brook's 3rd best opponent. And Brook got destroyed by his best opponent & some feel he got a favorable decision, but it was a close decision either way, vs Porter. Its obviously far too early to say with much confidence or as a forgone conclusion that Spence can be one of those guys people talk about in P4P discussions, but my guess would be that he will be. This fight will be his first real test in proving myself & others to be correct thus far or wrong...at least anytime soon.

I don't understand the Lacy comparisons I keep hearing for the life of me. Is it simply based on Lacy "getting exposed", as the dummies always say, to a guy from across the pond & this being a situation involving a US guy going across the pond?

Cuz I don't even recall Lacy having the hype of Spence or more specifically the tools of Spence to be getting the hype Spence is getting. I remember he had the highest lbs per inch punching power of all the US Olympians or something random as f#ck like that & thats about it for his impressive skills in the ring beyond being talented enough to make the Olympics + win a title in boxing & get some defenses in that does require some competence in your craft, but by no means do you need to be P4P or ATG potential levels to reach like Spence gots people theorizing about.

Maybe I got a selective memory about this or I was just in the minority opinion about Lacy back in the day with thinking he didn't have tip top elite level boxer capabilities inside him.
