Does Welterweight boil down to one man?....

    Shawn Porter? ...
the number 2(Thurman) and number 3(brook) guys (if that's how you rank them, minus Pacquiao) are rated were they are because of wins over porter, take the porter fight away and they're quickly not considered top 5

Thurman may be slightly over brook because of the Garcia

Why is Shawn Porter such a big gauge for the welterweight scene?

Mind you i'm loving the fights at welterweight right now
Garcia/Thurman, Spence/Brook ...but i honestly feel this division is ripe for someone to achieve greatness over their peers..hopefully we see greatness may 27th

Thurman is head and shoulders the #1 guy @147lbs.

    Then everyone else.

Thurman is still #1 without Porter. Brook is NOBODY without Shawn.

Because he was a champion and one of the top 5 guys in the division. I do agree he has boosted both fighters respective resumes.
