Who's all had f#cked up orbital's in boxing? Margarito & Rosado are the first two guys who come to mind. Margarito was done after his injury, but you could probably argue he was done before it too idk. And Rosado is a quality guy, but idk that he ever had any big ups before or after his injury so I doubt it effected him much. It'll be interesting to see how things turn out with Brook regardless of this specific fight because of this injury & where he was at in his career before it. If he starts going downhill you can be sure the narrative will be that GGG busting his orbital up changed his trajectory.

Use some of the money he took to get brutalized to get it fixed.

I can't name a lot of boxers but in MMA I know of several whose careers faded pretty quickly after suffering a broken orbital; Anthony Pettis, Miesha Tate, Josh Koscheck.

I noticed Brook looked funky in yesterday's press conference and this thread clicked on a light bulb. I don't recall seeing facial distortion after orbital surgery but you can clearly see he's got something going on there.

In regard to the comment "it'll be stronger than before", if they found the need to put a bulky plate in there, that means there's likely a serious structural weakness. I've known a few people with steel and titanium reinforcements in their bones and none of them said they felt stronger with it than before the injury. If anything, they get nagging pain around the area.

Unfortunately, a Spence will will be detracted with, "But Brook was already ruined by Golovkin."

It's a factor, but Spence is going to outclass this chump regardless of his eye.

Regardless of his obvious disadvantage? That quote makes no sense. If you said regardless of his size advantage or whatever, but i bet you cant even grasp that. That GGG beating, the injury and the messed up eye will make it much easier for Spence.

Without the injury Brook would be a pretty good favorite to win the fight (since Spence has nobody on his resume), but after the GGG beating it is extremely questionable how the fight goes.

spnce best performance is against algieri because pac or khan couldn't do that to algieri.... but at the same time everyone thought porter was the next big thing after he demolished malignaggi like no one else could (cotto, khan, hatton, judah, broner etc.)..but he turned out to just be a decent fighter, but not even top 3

I can sense the Brook boys sounding like the Lucas fans after Garcia. "He only had one eye doe"

That's the worry. IMO he won't be the same mentally, similar to Haye...worried if an injury reoccurs.
