Bit of an overstatement.

There's nothing that Jacobs showed that really makes you think he can win another fight.

It's more like GGG kept splitting the guard with jabs.

It's not like Lemiuex can look at this fight and figure out how he could defeat GGG.

To be honest after seeing the fight twice.

I realize that I had way more expectations of GGG than of Jacobs. I was impressed that he didnt get KO'd and that he lasted 12. Not really champion level boxing.

Assuming what you say is true (and I assume the same), then why do so many people including Stephen A. Smith have this notion that Golovkin beats Floyd, the master of lateral movement?

I think that Jacobs did 2 things that team GGG didn't really expect...
Firstly, Jacobs skipped the same day IBF mandatory (Under 10 pounds of hydration stipulation.) weigh in... Jacobs was a good 10 pounds heavier than Triple G in my opinion, at the start of the fight... I don't think that was anticipated by team Triple G...

Secondly, Jacobs turned to southpaw a awful lot during the fight... I don't think GGG expected that either...

If/when they rematch, those two elements will be out of the equation... GGG might even want a hydration Claus in the new contract...

That said, I think Jacobs will have a more difficult rematch without those elements of surprise and add in the understanding of the "Stick and Move" game plan Jacobs Corner continuously implored Daniel to do throughout the fight... (GGG likely knew that was coming.)

Jacobs is going to have to do something different the next time around... Perhaps coming forward with a lead foot between GGG's feet (As Evander Holyfield did with Mike Tyson) would be a completely unexpected Tact Jacobs could use when fighting inside ??? Or perhaps a few other "Out of the Box" strategies to implement ???

The bottom line here is that Jacobs can't do the same thing and expect a different result the next time around...

Triple G is patient. It wasnt just that Jacobs can move, which helps but what Jacobs did was throw a bunch of combos as soon as he was cornered and broke free. That combo of movement and punching power is hard to come by. Some guys have the combs like Canelo but he doesn't have the movement. Others have the movement like Brook but he doesn't have the punching power at that level. Monroe talked about how GGG isn't gonna go swinging cause he's stalking you. He will wait until he's in a good position.

jacobs didnt expose anything but the fact that hes a good fighter and can compete with the best in the divison. gggee is good, deal with it. hes no top 20 HOFer nor ATG tho. fk that he needs a few more of these kinds of wins to prove that. he needs to beat charlo, canelo, and eventually ward. but hes good as hell just stop with this he was exposed crap... ive watched this fight 3 times. I agree, the southpaw effected GGG but Jacobs was being way too cautious for a guy who claimed GGG didn't have crazy power and who prob came in at 185 with a significant reach and height advantage.

The only chance Jacobs has of knocking out GGG is by getting close and either hooking GGG while he moves out of the clinch or getting him while he's holding.

Other than that I don't see GGG going down especially with his balance and chin
