All rankings are subjective. Jacobs being #2 at MW was subjective, you were running around telling everyone he was.

Well, you just don't like GGG. I get it. Haha. Jacobs did beat Quillin in one round who was an unbeaten former champion. He won that regard in the ring. How do you win a pound for pound title in the ring? You can have a middleweight tournament and have a clear winner at the end. How do you have a p4p tournament? How does that work?

Did they have a MW tournament? Even then styles make fights, so unless a fighter beat every fighter in the entire division we can't be sure he's the best can we? That's subjective too.

P4P by definition can rarely be won in a ring.

But, it is good for boxing fans the same way comparing different teams that won't play each other is.

Does no harm and often does some good.

But, in this case, the P4P title actually WAS won in the ring when Ward beat Kovalev.

And it will be decided in the ring again if the two of them rematch.

Given the current atmosphere of so many titles, it's very hard, even if there were one title. But going off of what we can prove, according to who has actually fought each other, we can get closer than a list compiled of different fighters in different classes who are never going to fight one another. Who's the best on any one division? We can round that off to a point. Best pound for pound? Really no rounding that off at all.
