That's obviously why.
Beterbiev has been ranked top 5 in the WBC for how long? Yet he's done a good job of not even mentioning the possibility of having them fight each other.
He wants to protect Stevenson. That's why he's fighting Seanie "The Bum" Monaghan in his next fight.Comment

I know exactly why he's doing it, and I expect them to get matched up at some point when Stevenson starts to show his age. Then he can have Beterbiev put him out of his misery.Comment

Well because their greed and ****ty business practice, I hope Ward drop the belt and leave Artur complete powerless for they way they do business.
They will be now force to negotiate or keep fighting bums because nobody wants to work with them.Comment

Originally posted by g27regionBeterbiev sold his soul to these anglos and westerners, instead of chasing the belt, he was signed to protect Stevenson's spot, he can clean out the division and knock out all these contenders but he'll never get that 1# spot, just like Eleider Alvarez, their existence in the division has different intention. He's just Al Haymon's bodyguard at this point
Artur have been cleaning out the division, to bad he starter from the 100 ranked one, at that rate it will be a while until he get to fight top contenders on the light heavyweight division.Comment

He is really protecting Stevenson from Isidro Prieto, Ezequiel Maderna, Alexander Johnson, them killers have been putting a scare on Superman. Glad he was able to take care of them.
