When was the last time Jacobs was outboxed in a fight, prior to the Golovkin fight?
He's been KOed in a competitive with Pirog, but that's more about a perfect shot landing.
How many times has Froch been outboxed? Against Kessler, against Ward, against Dirrell, Jermain Taylor and against George Groves.
If you lose to Kessler by decision, who is one of the most robotic fighters in boxing history, then you can't objectively say you're a good boxer.
Froch was an OK boxer at best with punching power that helped bail him out of some bad situations. Danny Jacobs doesn't have maybe the chin that Froch has, but he's superior in all other areas.Comment

Dirrell: Underachiever
Jermain Taylor: lol
Groves: hairline
Ward: I'll give you that one
Jacobs destroyed Peter Quillin, who was undefeated a huge power puncher, in one round. He also knocked out Sergio Mora and beat him more decisively than any other fighter that has faced him. Mora has faced a lot of greats.
The point is that prior to facing Golovkin, he had never been out boxed or lost a decision before. The Pirog fight was competitive until he got clipped.
Froch got outboxed by Kessler ffs. Dirrell embarrassed him too, Taylor knocked him down and was in complete control, Groves knocked him down, Ward beat him with one arm. These are not qualities of a great boxer.Comment

It doesn't prove anything. You prove things in the ring not by a bunch of talk. GGG never made any complaints about Jacobs's weight and he won the fight. Jacobs is Jacobs and Froch is Froch and they are completely different fighters. Froch gets no credit for what Jacobs did. What success Jacobs had with GGG was due to hand speed and boxing skills, not being big and strong. It's boxing, not weight lifting or body building. Froch almost lost to washed up Taylor and Andre Dirrell. He isn't that powerful and he isn't that scary. He is a good fighter but nobody that GGG needs to fear or ever did fear.Comment

All this talk about Jacobs weight just proves Froch was right about being too big and to strong for GGG.
