Thinking about AJ vs Klitshcko, it seems hard to imagine a situation that AJ will get props.

If he KO's Wlad or beats him easy, people will say "so what, he's old and Fury already beat him"

If he fights him and Wlad is actually game and ready to go to war and AJ wins a close decision then he gets called a bum and he's "exposed"

If he loses, then he gets called a hype job and a bum.

Fury didn't get much credit, probably because the fight was atrocious, you've got to give him some props for winning though.

All round for AJ he'll be criticised for this one no matter what he does. It's a good step up no matter what point in Wlad's career though & I think Wlad will come in looking for the upset.

EDIT: Just to clarify this isn't a Fury hating thread or nuthugging Joshua, just seeing a lot of people classing Wlad as completely shot

IF AJ wins against Wladimir he deserves all the credit in the world. There is no doubt that Wladimir will be prepared to the best of his capacity & he brings in huge fight experience against Joshua. Big MoFoz man... maybe he best man win.

He wins he is now the BIGGEST DRAW IN BOXING! PERIOD! No other fighter is fighting in front of 90K and the only one that will be able to do it again will be Joshua probably vs Wilder and/or Fury!

I do think Wlad is going to come in prepared for this one as he knows it will be a hard fight, against Fury he underestimated him and ended up getting gun shy for some reason.

Im not really a heavyweight fan nor am I a Joshua or Kilitchko fan. With that said I feel my opinion is unbias. I think if Joshua KO's Klitchko, he did what is expected of him. Joshua is young and prime, Klitchko is old and although he is still skilled, his age and skillset should not match Joshuas at this point. So imo, if Klitchko hasnt hit the canvas numerous times by the 12th rd, basically Joshua didnt do what he shouldve by going 12 with an old man.

This is a good fight. The winner deserves a lot of credit IMO.

I don't see why not. That said, I think it depends on the fight.

If Wlad looks good and AJ wins, then he will get major props. If Wlad looks old and rusty and loses, AJ will get props, but not as much.

It's a hard balance really, If Wlad looks good then he's landing on AJ and people will say AJ was bad instead of Wlad being good. We'll wait and see though, just thought it would be interesting to see perspectives.
