He underestimated GGGs defense. He does a good job of parrying shots, catching jabs and setting up counter shots off your attack.

Everyone does (and still is). He had solid defense against Jacobs and caught a lot of what he threw on the arms and gloves.

Tying up GGG gets overlooked by many.

The key to victory for Jacobs would be going to the body, fiercely counter-punching GGG and demanding respect with each punch and tying him up before he gets off.

Julian Jackson was 5"11 with a 73 inch reach - 80% KO percentage

Daniel Jacobs is 6 ft with a 73 inch reach - 90% KO percentage

But it's not the mere fact that these guys have similar builds and enormous amounts of punching power. It's how these guys placed their shots and the leverage they got because of their builds when they landed. Jacobs is more comparable to McClellan than he is Jackson in the way Jacobs moves his feet, boxes and the speed and velocity he lands is punches; and how he goes for the kill when he smells blood. In fact, Jacobs is even faster with his combos when he has a wounded victim in front of him; much more lethal

Some people say Julian Jackson was chinny, but it is what it is.









People keep talking about Pirog, but you have to look at the context in those knockdowns. Jacobs was beating Pirog before that KO whether you agree or not. It's a fact.

GGG does not move like Pirog. He doesn't have the upper body movement. Golovkin is very robotic with his movement. Very rarely does he duck out of the way of a punch. However, he has shown great agility against Lemiuex. Problem is, that's really not telling me much since Lemieux's feet are an F550 and Jacobs feet are a Corvette.

Lemieux is also the same height as GGG with short T-rex arms. Jacobs is tall and lengthy and is therefore able to generate much more power and get more leverage than Lemeiux. Jacobs is also much faster than DL and much better in his delivery.

Who has GGG fought with the power, speed and boxing ability of Daniel Jacobs? Jacobs is like Willie Monroe but with mutant-esque power compared to Monroe.

If Golovkin drops his hands and lets Jacobs hit him like he let Monroe and Wade hit him, it's over. You know this. In the same breath, he can't afford to try and outbox Jacobs like he did DL. Yes, that statement is subjective, but I'm going purely off the eye test here.

Another thing to think about is although Lemieux was KO'd by Rubio, GGG never hurt DL to the head. All the times DL was hurt was to the body. Does this mean that Rubio hits harder than GGG because he was able to hurt DL to the head? Of course not which is why I don't like using analogies like that when talking about fights.

GGG has never faced someone of Jacobs caliber that has all the tools, power and threats of Jacobs. I'm salivating thinking about it.

Tom Loeffler has said that Jacobs is more of a threat than Canelo for a reason.

GGG will be forced to box and take less chances in which this style of a fight will benefit Jacobs because Jacobs is the better boxer and will pick him a part from the outside.

When GGG rushes in and gets reckless, Jacobs will counter with a fast ass overhand right and will put him away with the Brooklyn rumble.

Unlike David Lemieux, D. Jacobs doesn't have cinder blocks for feet, nor does he have little T-Rex arms to punch.

I can't think of one fighter GGG has faced that possesses all 3 characteristics of speed, power and boxing ability combined. Not one.

Well, to be fair, Jacobs did win the fight and was robbed by the judges... I also think Chollo was right to a degree especially being that 99% of the forum thought Jacobs would get KO'd by the first jab because Mora dropped Jacobs. Chollo did make some really good points and to be honest, I don't think many of the so called "experts" had a better breakdown than him.

He was wrong about the KO, but mainly because GGG didn't rush in and fight like how he fought against Brook, Wade, etc. Outside of the KO prediction, Chollo's breakdown was pretty damn accurate.

That said, Chollo is still a sissy btch and I'm glad he's gone
