Jacobs was Golovkin's WBA mandatory, not his IBF mandatory so Jacobs had no obligation to adhere to IBF rules. In fact, Jacobs isn't even ranked by the IBF. This simply means that Jacob's title shot was a direct result of his WBA status and the WBA does not have the 10 pound rule.

Didn't say it was the fighters fault. I rate Golovkin and Jacobs higher than Martinez.
