Charlo is a middleweight right now. He vs Jacobs would be a great fight to make for later this year. Charlo will have some success as a middleweight. GGG and any of these guys against each other and throw in Eubank Jr if Jr can get free from his ego maniac dad. I would take Eubank Jr over Sanders at this point.

You want to make a bet Charlo vs Jacobs won't happen anytime soon? Charlo vs Wade-level opponent is more likely.

It's an option, but don't get ahead of yourself

Let Charlo get a few middleweight matches under his belt than a top 10 opponent.

Get Jacobs back in the ring vs a top 10 opponent.

If GGG goes for Canelo in September than the winner can fight winner of Jacobs-Charlo in 2018.
Jermall Charlo is the #2 rated challenger by the WBC; at this point, he's basically a fight away from being named as the WBC's mandatory challenger. Jorge Sebastian Heiland is rated #1 by the WBC. Jermall Charlo vs JS Heiland (WBC#2 vs WBC#1), in Houston, this summer works out for everyone [especially with Showtime/PBC using Charlo in a headline fight].

In terms of Jacobs, he just put on a performance that should cement his status as a live draw in New York. He'll likely take some time off, and if the Golovkin rematch doesn't happen, Jacobs vs Andy Lee, from Barclays Center, should still draw a sizable crowd [while still being a meaningful enough fight to draw money and strong TV backing]

Jacobs vs Charlo would be a good fight, but it'll only happen when it makes sense for both guys.
