After six rounds, I had Roman up 58-54 with the point deduction. Roman was simply landing better and cleaner combinations and counters and he was slipping and rolling with a lot of Sri's shots. That's just what was happening. At the end of the fight, Roman landed 150+ more punches than Sri all told--which is pretty telling.
1 - 10-8 Sri
2 - 10-9 Roman
3 - 10-9 Roman
4 - 10-9 Roman
5 - 10-9 Roman
6 - 10-8 Roman (point deduction)
7 - 10-9 Sri
8 - 10-9 Roman
9 - 10-10 EVEN --this round was really even in my eyes
10 - 10-9 Roman--Roman's cleaner punching won it
11 - 10-9 Sri
12 - 10-9 Roman
For final scores of 116-111 Roman
Roman won eight rounds in my eyes
Sri won three
With one round being scored even--the 9th.
Roman wasn't really bullied in this fight and he's the one who was actually pushing Sri back at times and in my estimations, he had Sri hurt a couple of times in the fight and had him going backwards. Sri was the stronger guy when they were in-fighting but Roman landed better and cleaner blows when they were in-fighting.
I can see a 115-112 scorecard for Roman but I can't really see anything less than that for the champ. Sri was literally running away from Roman at times in the 12th and was purposely holding--that is not how you beat the champ. The judging was quite simply incompetent as Roman clearly landed the cleaner and more telling blows throughout the fight.
After watching it in HD, it is clear to see that Roman won the fight.
