You are absolutely right. The high 170s is about the most Jacobs could have weighed. Anyone who says he weighed 185-190 doesn't know what he is talking about. It is impossible for a man to gain 25 to 30 pounds in 38 hours. If it were possible it would do that man no good and great harm, He would be waterlogged and bloated. He would look like he swallowed a watermelon whole. 20 pounds is about the upper limit it is possible for a boxer to gain and that much weight gain is still very bad for them. Many say Canelo gains 25 to 30 pounds and they are wrong. He has never gained more than 17 pounds.People seem to think that there is a continuous linear correlation between a fighters weight and time elapsed since the weigh in, hence why some people really think Jacobs came into the ring at 185-190. In reality he would have capped off at his usual rehydration weight of somewhere in the high 170s.Comment

What good comes out of lying about something so insignificant?Today's IBF weigh in - Gennady Golovkin 169,6. #GGGJacobs #boxing

He weight 169.6 at 9am and only gained .4lbs in 15 hours?
GGG 170 on HBO scale, Jacobs declined.

If you believe this you gotta believe Charlo was only 165 on fight night against J Rock
In the end both made 160.Comment
