GGG just covers up. If Jacobs showed more guts, he could have held his ground longer and punched around those blocking arms. But Jacobs was scared! Good performance...but the fear showed.

half the time he covered up but the other half he was legit making Jacobs miss, especially on the outside. he had his hands down. Looked like Kostya Tszyu vs Vernon Forrest.



Also in close GGG dodged a lot of Jacobs uppercuts. A LOT OF them people thought he was susceptible to after the Brook fight. He got hit with a couple uppercuts but he dodged like 20 attempts.

Great defense? His face may appear unscathed, but his brain is not nor is his body. Jacobs was just content with boxing instead of taking the fight to him. GGG still looks like a deer in headlights when he gets caught though.

GGG has fair skin. very easy to see physical proof of damage.

he's not dark skinned which can hide the black and blue of bruising.

fair skin is also easier to cut.

the fact is GGG came out completely unscathed due to his tremendous defense. he looked like this after the Lemiuex fight too. another power puncher he upped his defense for.


He looked worse after the Brook fight, a fight he intentionally abandoned his Defense. this is a fact of history now. because when he ups his defense he doesn't get hit flush.
