GGG best an elite boxer in a way they said he couldnt

Let them cry, compustat and fight outcome match.

Jacobs didn't do nearly enough. Bunch if tying up.

GGG should of went for kill. Too worried about all that extra weight.

Future fights, K2 needs to be a penalty on going over 180. Jacobs being up to 185 was a tactic and a bs for a MW.

Maybe now Canelo will fight, doubt it. Still not ****** enough to buy into a ggg without another big fight on the line.

The Floyd Mayweather era has totally ruined boxing because now these dumb casual fans think that just because you retreat constantly and make it difficult for your opponent to hit you as much as normal that that means you won the fight. The truth is it doesn't matter how much you lower your opponent's offense, you still have to have your own offense that is better than your opponent's.

Jacobs moved a lot and lowered GGG's offense, but as a result of moving and playing defense all night, Jacobs also lowered his own output significantly, which resulted in GGG still outlanding him by a healthy margin.

So who won the fight? The champ, the aggressor, the guy who threw more punches, the guy who landed more punches, the guy who landed more punches in 9 of 12 rounds, the guy who got the knockdown and hurt his opponent multiple times but never got knocked down or wobbled himself, Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin.

I mean, is it really that hard to tell? GGG bossed every single category in this fight except for power punches landed, but GGG's jab is like a power punch and he outlanded Jacobs by about 70 jabs while Jacobs only outlanded him by 20 power shots, most of him were slapping shots that didn't even do as much damage as GGG's clean jabs did.

So there's actually no way in hell anyone could score the fight for Jacobs, in my opinion. Not anyone who knows how to score boxing matches, anyway. But I think what happened is people were so shocked that the seemingly invincible GGG was actually looking human, they just assumed that meant Jacobs was winning. Just like how some people gave Andre Ward pity rounds after he got knocked down, or "he's doing better than he was before" rounds, because he was getting dominated so badly at first that just by making it closer, they thought that meant Ward was winning.

This is the same kind of thing. Jacobs outperformed expectations big time. GGG underperformed expectations. But that is not the same thing as Jacobs winning the fight.
      Completely spot on

Now we need special Golovkin only related rules. Interesting.

He got outlanded in powerpunches over the whole fight and outlanded in power punches in 7 rounds, now all of a sudden GGG fans respect a jab only offense.

Face it. He's a technical boxer.

            Yeah, Jacobs outgunned GGG.

But GGG was in control with his jab and a tight guard most of the time.

I think GGG defense was OK, and he blocked most of the punches.

GGG has a bad habit exposed in the Brook fight too.

Just like Winky, he tends to hide in his shell and stop being active when he's effectively attacked.

That's how you beat GGG IMO.

A guy like punisher Williams woulda been a stylistic nightmare for triple, even if triple woulda probably catch him bad at some point.

He always was, I thought it was a good thing..? and his jab should count as a power punch.- DJ deserves respect even in defeat, it was his foot work that made the fight difficult for GGG. Jacobs looked huge and he simply refused to stay at mid range: on the outside his reach, height and hand speed made GGG hesitate and reach. When Golovkin cut the ring Jacobs just stepped in and suffocated them both from landing anything big. I hope GGG gets that WBO trinket next and then Jacobs rematch. Canelita? I really don´t care any more.

This and what happened to GGG's body work? It was non-existent last night, very unlike him. If he had worked the body, he would have finished this fight much earlier than a decision. None the less, Jacobs fought a tough fight and the extra 20+ pounds really helped him. I would enjoy a rematch

Yea you summed it up perfectly, just because J wasn't that bad, it doesn't mean he won.

LoL, I actually watched it on BoxNation where they idk why praised the ****** jabs of Jacobs all fight long that wouldn't knock a glass of table.
But yea, I'm greatful I hadn't had to be exposed to HBO bias.
