Cut this bull****, it was close but GGG won. Just like Kovalev won against Ward. But Kovalev is not as famous in the US as Golovkin and Jacobs was not undeafeted.
When you are a challenger, you gotta win convincingly, otherwise close rounds would go to a champion.
Based on punch stats, judges even give some close rounds to Jacobs. So no robbery but close fight. Rematch should happen

Let me guess, you're black? You're aware "F" is the 6th letter of the alphabet, not "G"? Also it's LeDDerman. He's not a former late night host.

Jacobs did great, but fair result imo.

Shame is that no-one will want to fight Jacobs at 160 now, he's going to be forced up.

Meantime Golovkin has lost his aura of invincibility and it will be easier for him to land fights. I suspect Saunders will be confirmed for June and Canelo Sept now, and suspect the betting odds on Golovkin drop quite a bit now.

Golovkin clearly stated he wants to fight 4 times this year, so if he makes it past Saunders and Canelo, wouldn't be surprised to see a rematch with Jacobs in Dec - its the only fight Jacobs will likely get at 160 unfortunately.

Meantime size did play a part and gave an indication of what Golovkin might look like at 168. Suspect if he did make it through Canelo/Saunders/Jacobs rematch, he would be entering his final year after that and likely stay at 160. Can't see him going up in weight just when he's on the decline.

If we look at the judges card, All 3 judges unanimously agreed to give rounds 1-(4)-5-8-9 to GGG. And all 3 gave round 6-10-11 to Jacobs. That leaves only 4 contested rounds that went 3/4 to jacobs anyway. So if it wasn't for the point lost in the round (4) knockdown, This fight would have been closer to a draw.

Golovkin outlanded Jacobs in 9/12 rounds... Plus the knockdown.

Look at the connect percentage almost 50% of his power punches and 37% total punches. I doubt you'll find a more accurate puncher in the sport.

You compare that to the Kovalev Ward fight.

Kovalev outlanded Ward, plus knocked him down and got a terrible decision go against him. If he had the fair judges Golovkin had, he would have won the fight.

              In the end:

Exactly this!! Anybody who ignores what the FACTS say and believe Jacobs won doesn't know **** about boxing! GGG convincingly won the fight against a MUCH bigger man. Jacobs was much taller, had a significant reach advantage and outweighed him by upto 20lbs. Despite all this, he didn't once take the fight to GGG. He didn't once hurt him which is why GGG kept coming forward all night. So much for having a 90% KO percentage lol. Meanwhile Jacobs got dropped and staggered several times which is why he got on his bicycle early on. Also, take a look at both guys faces at the end of the fight if you need more convincing. Luckily, virtually all of the ringside experts (judges, tv and boxing media) had GGG winning the fight too.

Can you imagine the outcry if Jacobs had achieved the FACTS posted above and lost the fight?!?!

Unfortunately there's a bunch of racists who can't accept somebody like GGG taking over boxing. The same thing happened in the Kell Brook fight. GGG broke his eye socket, had a knockdown incorrectly not counted, wobbled him multiple times, battered him in the 5th forcing his trainer to throw the towel in and sent his man straight to hospital afterwards yet people still say he was losing the fight and it wasn't a good performance lol.

Well done GGG! Another great performance which the FACTS and ringside experts all agree on unlike the uneducated racist McDonalds workers on this forum lol.

People just gone avoid the fact that Jacob outlanded him in power punches in 7 rounds and in fact outlsnded him in power punches throughout the WHOLE FIGHT.

He didn't Outland him in power punches tho. He used the jab as a defense tool. That ain't ring generalship

Since when can you win three belts off a champ by circling backwards all night, getting outlanded in 9 of 12 rounds, getting knocked down, and getting badly hurt in at least one other round, while never knocking down or wobbling your opponent? The Floyd Mayweather era has totally ruined boxing because now these dumb casual fans think that just because you retreat constantly and make it difficult for your opponent to hit you as much as normal that that means you won the fight. The truth is it doesn't matter how much you lower your opponent's offense, you still have to have your own offense that is better than your opponent's.

Jacobs moved a lot and lowered GGG's offense, but as a result of moving and playing defense all night, Jacobs also lowered his own output significantly, which resulted in GGG still outlanding him by a healthy margin.

So who won the fight? The champ, the aggressor, the guy who threw more punches, the guy who landed more punches, the guy who landed more punches in 9 of 12 rounds, the guy who got the knockdown and hurt his opponent multiple times but never got knocked down or wobbled himself, Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin.

I mean, is it really that hard to tell? GGG bossed every single category in this fight except for power punches landed, but GGG's jab is like a power punch and he outlanded Jacobs by about 70 jabs while Jacobs only outlanded him by 20 power shots, most of him were slapping shots that didn't even do as much damage as GGG's clean jabs did.

So there's actually no way in hell anyone could score the fight for Jacobs, in my opinion. Not anyone who knows how to score boxing matches, anyway. But I think what happened is people were so shocked that the seemingly invincible GGG was actually looking human, they just assumed that meant Jacobs was winning. Just like how some people gave Andre Ward pity rounds after he got knocked down, or "he's doing better than he was before" rounds, because he was getting dominated so badly at first that just by making it closer, they thought that meant Ward was winning.

This is the same kind of thing. Jacobs outperformed expectations big time. GGG underperformed expectations. But that is not the same thing as Jacobs winning the fight.

He outlsnded him in jabs only. Your narrative is weak.
