We all know that in boxing, weight matters a lot. Lemieux and Stevens were more or less equals but because Lemieux didn't have to follow the weigh in, he came in much bigger and completely obliterated Stevens.

Will the same thing happen at Golovkin Jacobs? Jacobs didnt have to do a second weigh in and will likely come in a lot bigger and stronger than GGG.

Will he knock GGG the fk out because of the weight advantage????

Well, judging by your sig gif, I think we can agree that size advantages are overrated. Morales was bigger than Barrera in their third fight and clearly got beat up. There are many other examples.

Absolutely not. He will be no heavier for GGG than he was was for lousy Truax. It took Jacobs 12 rounds to get the ref to stop his fight with Truax. If you need 12 rounds to stop Truax you aren't going to stop GGG. GGG has never been down in 400 amateur and 36 pro fights. Weight doesn't have nearly as much to do with punching power as hand speed and throwing perfect punches. Little 180 pound Dempsey proved that when he chopped down 250 pound Jess Williard. Jacobs will outweigh GGG by about 8 pounds and GGG will KO Jacobs with his heavy, accurate, explosive punches.

I think Lemieux KO Stevens because he is a naturally harder puncher and better fighter. I doubt his 7 pound weight advantage made the difference. Lemieux caught him with a perfect straight right and a crushing left hook. Those punches had power to spare to KO Stevens. I believe those punches would have still left Stevens out cold if Lemieux had been 7 pounds lighter when he landed them.

I imagine Jacobs and his team are as focused on taking the shots well as they are on dishing them out. Would prefer to be stronger than lighter it seems.
