I have just 2 questions really...if people say ggg is a hypejob...thus theoretically calling him a b level fighter....who are the A level fighters in his division ....and who is going to beat him at middle weight. Please dont say Canelo because as we know he has never fought at middleweight regardless of his previous "wbc title reign".

Golovkin has done what all champions do, got in the ring with those willing to fight him in this era. If Canelo never happens he'll go for the WBO and is well on the way to ATG status regardless of a Canelo fight. His detractors can shout "B side fighters", but when a supposedly elite fighter gives up a belt to avoid him then it's as good as a win in my book, despite what that lame excuse for a publication the Ring ranks him at.Comment

The thing i have noticed here...and was hoping for...is that all those who say these things.. wether ggg is great or not.. have yet to put up a credible argument for who is better at middleweight...my point being...someone has to be the test against which all others are measured. So far thats the unified wba wbc ibf ibo champion. Even jacobs has tried to take advantage by missing same day weigh in...which in my opinion shows that he doesnt believe in his boxing ability or power...and instead is going to try to outmuscle ggg. I expect another failed strategy.Comment

The main thing weighing against him is the fact that he hasn't fought other P4P level fighters, which some will hold against him until he does manage to do so. It is possible to not be a top level fighter and still be the best in your division but I think if you look at the manner in which he has mostly dominated his opponents during his title reign, there are very few fighters who could have done so in my opinion, but each person will look at things differently.Comment

I love when people call fighters who have beaten everyone except the top 2 guys in the division, "Unproven". Ok so the only way to "prove" that you're good is to defeat the #1 guy? So, do you understand that logically this is the same as saying that anyone who is not the #1 guy is trash? So EVERY fighter on earth is pure TRASH and "unproven" other than the #1 guy? So doesn't that then logically make the #1 guy trash too for beating nothing but garbage cans and bums?Comment
