Golovkin an IBF champion win or lose

According to IBF rules, the champion retains the belt in the event of a win or loss if the challenger fails to make second day weigh in.

so apparently if in event a fighter in last minute chooses to forfeit his position for an IBF title - even though the $50 dollar fee was purchased, all while other titles are on the line and complying to their rules, it's still cheating...

    yeah...

That's going to suck. Why get the upset of your career, and possibly the upset of the decade so far and not get all the belts you can possibly get from the win? That's 3 belts.

Golovkin is really our only hope at seeing the division fully unified in the foreseeable future and that alone almost makes it worth rooting for him against whoever he faces

Wow. I don't like that rule, if a champion loses at their weight class, they should lose their title regardless if it's even 4 round fight.

Like I said before, these titles are only marketing tools for the fighters. A fighter's true standing is based on their accomplishments relative to their peers.
