Also why HBO decided to have such a late start time was a bad decision.

But Lemieux did have a highlight reel knockout and good fight. So my guess Lemieux will definetly be back on HBO his next fight, Gamboa however won't his next fight I bet.
i bet they bring gamboa back on canelo chavez to try to gt him to put on an old school explosive performance since thry know hbo wont buy his next fight

Your right. If not an ESPN headliner. But there's absolutely no way Gamboa is co main eventing or main eventing on regular HBO next.

Not great numbers, but not surprising...HBO put a cheap card on and got small results.

The one positive for HBO is that the KO did generate some buzz, so Lemieux may be back on HBO again...or PPV if GBP put him in against Canelo.

Thats because the fight is an undercard type fight and HBO is too ****** to realize that they need to invest proper money, or no money at all. There is no mid-ground. The fight was not a main even fight except for ESPN2 level. HBO does not have its heart or money in the fight game anymore. And that leaves only HBO PPV which is not good.

The fight was blacked-out of HBO's regular programming all over Quebec and Montreal where Lemieux is from.

Having a co-main event as the main event and had 672k views, not bad. Meanwhile, Showtime/PBC is averaging 500k with so called "Superstars"?

When are they going to stop putting big fights from two different networks on on the same night? Makes no sense to me whatsoever. I hate having to make the Sophie's Choice of which one to watch; either way I lose because I miss much, or all, of one good fight.

This is the fight HBO owed Lemieux for agreeing to the Golovkin fight. They had to get it out of the way
