David Lemieux delivered a highlight-reel knockout Saturday night, but the former middleweight champion's dramatic victory over Curtis Stevens didn't deliver great ratings. According to figures released by Nielsen Media Research, the Lemieux-Stevens fight drew a peak audience of 672,000 viewers for HBO on Saturday night. An average of 606,000 viewers watched Lemieux-Stevens, which ended in the third round when Montreal's Lemieux's picture-perfect left hook knocked Brooklyn's Stevens unconscious at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York.

HBO boxing is dead, they should have never started a war with Haymon in the first place given his stable size.

Lemieux turned in the kind of performance that ought to get him another big fight. But Golovkin beats him 9 out 10 times, to some degree I think the ceiling is set.

Depending how it all goes this weekend- Jacobs vs. Lemieux could be a fun one.

Okay numbers. Unfortunately Gamboa fought a journeyman and Gamboa didn't leave the viewers or HBO viewers at all impressed.

Also why HBO decided to have such a late start time was a bad decision.

But Lemieux did have a highlight reel knockout and good fight. So my guess Lemieux will definetly be back on HBO his next fight, Gamboa however won't his next fight I bet.

That's not bad for a fight that got zero promotion.
