Comments Thread For: Brooklyn's Jacobs Not Worried About Being Booed in His Hometown

NEW YORK Daniel Jacobs is prepared to get booed in his hometown. The Brooklyn native knows that even though he'll fight in his hometown Saturday night, Gennady Golovkin also has established a large, loyal fan base in New York. The Kazakh knockout artist has fought twice apiece at Madison Square Garden's main arena and The Theater at Madison Square Garden during his rise to stardom.

I dont even think he'll get booed to be fair.
I think the ........ "crowd"........at MSG will probably just sit and cheer or be silent for each in equal measure.

It would be a shame if NYC boos Jacobs in his own backyard. It's fine if you love GGG, but Jacobs has been class the entire time. It's a shame that Americans don't go as hard for their fighters, especially ones with such incredible stories like Jacobs. I could understand if this was in Kazakhstan, but in NYC? That's embarrassing.

Haven't seen Bronson? Notorious "true story" of one criminal's life. Great performance by Hardy, it's what really pushed him onto the movie scene. RocknRolla is another good early one of his.

If you like the Bronson movie. Check out an early chubby Eric Bana in a Chopper as well!

The PPV will tank. Not nearly enough casuals know or more importantly care. I'll be at Twin Peaks or Buffalo Wild Wings for this o e because I'm out of town.

I have nothing against GGG at all but for a fighter to be booed not only in his home country but also his home state and his home city.....I would be shocked. I hope that doesnt happen, it would be embarrassing as hell. Jacobs is a class act, a really good guy, likable as hell, and someone who has had a very scary health issue in his life. I'm pulling for him because he is a great guy. I have nothing negative to say about GGG at all. He is also a cool guy who has worked hard from his poverty stricken homeland to make it this far in life and wish him the best, but I just favor Jacobs.

Jacobs only fought 9 and half rounds since 2015. 9 against mora and also got knocked down by him. Not many ppl believe in this fight no matter what the promotion try to sell about how "great" jacobs is. I dig jacobs but not in this fight
