All the Golovkin detractors said he had never faced a boxer-puncher of comparable size and THAT would be the kind of fighter that would beat him.
Well, hear he is in the shape of Jacobs. We are hearing pre-fight that Jacobs has a great chance. If Golovkin wins I don't want to see the win diminished. You can only beat who is available and who will step in the ring with you.
Similarly, if Jacobs wins I don't want to hear that Golovkin was just a hype job. Sure he is over hyped but he certainly isn't JUST a hype job.

      Great guy.

I have one quibble. You do need luck to 'beat' cancer. Anyone who tells you otherwise is misleading you.

His resolve reminds me of Lamon Brewster's during his first fight with Wladimir Klitschko. He dedicated the fight to his former trainer Bill Slayton, and promised that nothing would stop him. Then Klitschko started dominating him, and it looked like he was gonna get stopped early. Then he KO'd Klitschko on some movie type ****.

There are certain things that you fight for that give you power and resistance that you don't normally have. I think Emmanuel Steward was right regarding Brewster, when he said something along the lines of "any other night he would have lost, but he wasn't staying down tonight". We'll see if Jacobs can replicate that, and/or if he's just that good. In any case, I got Golovkin KO8.

It's hard to see how anyone an root against Jacobs. If the fight goes 12 rounds it's hard to see how the judges will not favor Jacobs.

Sure but what happens when the big puncher is also a good boxer?

GGG won't fight him like he did vs brook and the thing is that GGG is the better boxer of the two.

Exactly, I read a lot of posters on this site and others say Golovkin is just a plodding brawler, so untrue. The guy can box or brawl with a granite chin on top of it, that is what makes his power so dangerous.
