bro its the other way around! jacobs is the one who has to show he can survive the early rounds.he can try and box all he wants ggg is a master at cutting off the ring only a matter of time before he traps jacobs against the ropes.Comment

Jacobs has to come out swinging.
GGG will go to the body.
Danny has a speed advantage,
but as the fight goes on he will slow down while GGG is kind of a one gear fighter.
GGG might try to walk through him early, like he did in the Stevens fight, we know Jacob's chin can crack.Comment

Welp Maxi, you've just about covered all possible outcomes.
Before the fight was made, you said Jacobs was chinny and would get KO'd with the first solid shot. Then I heard GGG should win mid fight stoppage. Now it's Jacobs could win early stoppage. Anymore predictions you would like to make to complete the circle? You're just about there. Eventually you'll hit on the correct outcome. Almost there.Comment

Two months ago. I predicted exactly the same fight:Welp Maxi, you've just about covered all possible outcomes.

I expect a close fight, and more difficult than GGG-Brook. With DJ maybe even knocking down Golovkin early and having him hurt, and winning most of the first four rounds, putting GGG in survival mode. Then Golovkin slowly starting to grow and being able to knock down DJ late in the fight, possibly stopping him near the 11th or 12th round, or maybe going to the scorecards where GGG wins a close 7-5 fight.
I even expect people to demand a rematch.Comment

I might have said it, it could be. I don't remember exactly but maybe.
At that time, many people were saying GGG would not fight Jacobs, to which I responded I guess with those kind of responses. I hope you understand now.Comment

That's the path of EVERY hardcore GGG fan around here. "Gennady would destroy that bum ___. Not even close."
Then the fight gets made, "It's risky, could go either way."
Followed by, "He completely outclassed a great opponent."
Fans need to ease up on trying to be promoters. No one is paying you, don't work so hard.Comment

Yep, in almost all his fights, Golovkin's opponents get a taste of his power in the first few rounds, they either get skittish or too careful, and this totally defines the rest of the fight. From that point on, it's hunting season for GGG.
Jacobs could break this pattern. Best fighter Golovkin has faced as a pro, a well rounded combination of power, boxing ability and overall athleticism.
But he needs to do more than survive early; he needs to hurt Golovkin early -- before he starts making mistakes and paying for them with a classic beatdown.Comment
