Comments Thread For: Sanchez: Need More Wins to Mention Golovkin With Ray Robinson

Abel Sanchez has a lot of confidence in Gennady Golovkin. The Kazakhstan native's trainer considers his fighter to be boxing's best middleweight and one of the top fighters, pound-for-pound, in the sport today. Sanchez admits, though, that Golovkin has some work to do before anyone accurately could consider placing him near the top of the list of the best middleweights in boxing history.

If he get Jacobs, Saunders, and Canelo this year then he's pulled even with the quality of Hopkin's MW run. I don't feel Hopkins is even a top 5 all time MW, forget SRR.

You'd need to combine the runs of SRL & Hagler or Hearns to reach the level of SRR.

Ray Robinson? GGG can't even be mentioned on the same sentence as a BUNCH of MW's out there let alone Ray Robinson.

I figured GGG would rate just below JASON SHAW on the middleweight ATG P4P list
