and hatton is stronger, hits harder and has more speed in leg movement, floyd didn't like to take body punchs from castillo and im sure floyd wont like taking shots from hatton

if you belive the fight will end up like the chavez fight then mayweather is in for a very tough fight
Hatton dosn't have the chin to walk PBF to the ropes like that. PBF will hit him with combos all day and the face will swell up like a mother. BTW, from watching the collazo fight, it seemed to me that hatton has very bad defense.

Actually lederman had Floyd winning the fight by 2 rounds, before the stoppage.

And yes, I already stated in my original post that it'd be a tough fight for Floyd. I don't believe it'd be a beatdown Gatti style, but I do believe Floyd will win and handedly.

Chavez is just as strong at 130 (porportionally to the weight) than Hatton is at 147. Chavez also moves better than Hatton.

P4P Chavez hits harder. He would've destroyed the Barrera of tonight.

Also Chavez has better defense than Hatton. But more importantly, this just shows how will Floyd can fight on the inside as well. So even when Hatton comes throw the combos that will undoubtedly land flush on his chin, he still has to deal with a very good inside fighter.

gunstar and deliveryman, it would seem to me that you two havn't seen many of chavez fights. chavez is a good fighter but he has never been a big puncher, he is relentless and applies great pressure and throws lots of punchs.

I've seen alot of his fights. I think Hatton's power is very overrated, just like M P4P Chavez hits harder.

Chavez doesn't have a 1 punch KO power, but neither does Hatton. But that doesn't mean he doesn't hit hard.

When he fought Mayweather he was something like 36-1 with 25 KO's. I'm sorry but you don't have 25 KO's on your belt in 36 wins if you're feather fisted.

Chavez doesn't have power? Tell Leavander Johnson that... oh wait.

there is an art to the push and pull and using your strength and weight in close. hatton does this too a tee. the crowding style employed by hatton lately is a very good strategic move on his part, and would nullify floyd's speed advantages. staying inside the right hand by moving in on floyd quickly would allow hatton to wrestle and sap floyd's energy until the later rounds where hatton's infamous bodybag sessions would have an effect.

another way to beat mayweather is not to offer your chin up on a plate. I don't think he's as effective an offensive force as everyone thinks. all of his opponents basically tried to trade with him, punch for punch, or committed some other basic flaw. the way to beat him is to stand your ground, keep turning him, muscle him, and punch from awkward angles. you have to disrupt his rythym because once he gets going he's incredibly tough to stop.

i think people also tend to concentrate on the holes of hatton's face-first style but what is most overlooked is hatton's athleticism and speed. his speed is very deceptive and it's going to cause mayweather problems. many people also expect hatton to gush wide open - again not the case anymore. hatton had reconstructive surgery on his face and i doubt he'll have a major cut unless he fights a dirty fighter ala maussa. the kind of pressure hatton brings would be tremendous for ANYONE at 140. this is not just a pressure fighter who comes forward with the threat of punching and aggression while missing shots, he brings it all night and accurately too.
