Truth is, the commission is never interested in pre-fight tests, which negates the purpose of protecting fighters. The reason is obvious like having to cancel fights that result in massive waste of time and money.
But at least they're now willing, in many instances, not all, to expose cheaters via post-fight urine tests. Not saying it's better, but it reduces the tendency of cheaters taking bold risks. Of course, the corruption going on behind the scenes can't be totally ignored.
One example is Rios failing the test only AFTER the Pac fight.
So make no mistake. The commission is catching more cheaters than USADA. And this has to be repeated over and over again. USADA is a joke.Last edited by al-Xander; 03-13-2017, 01:29 PM.Comment

It is a good source. The problem is that I guess you somehow will come up with a troll response or use some fallacy to say it's false:
A simple comparison will suffice. As of Aug. 1, 2015, VADA had conducted drug testing for 18 professional fights. Three of the fighters tested by VADA (Andre Berto, former IBF-WBA 140-pound champion Lamont Peterson, and former 135-pound WBA titleholder Brandon Rios) tested positive for a banned substance.
Contrast that with USADA. Annie Skinner says that Mayweather-Berto will be the 46th fight for which USADA has conducted drug testing. In an Aug. 14, email she acknowledges, “At this time, the only professional boxer under USADA’s program who has been found to have committed an anti-doping rule violation is Erik Morales.”Comment

It is always pretty interesting to see how opinion flip flops on drug testing at times on here.
It's a must to some posters. But when it was (falsely) rumoured that Jacobs wouldn't be undergoing testing. Guys who tell us it's a must, started saying 'well, why should he if it's not in the contract'.
Spence : 'why should he if he doesn't have to'.
If you're in favour of testing, then that should be across the board. Not just when it's see as a chance to bash / big up, a fighter you like/dislike.Comment

How good is the detection rate by VADA now _Maxi? They are testing every boxer in the top 15 WBC in every division. It is a good source. The problem is that I guess you somehow will come up with a troll response or use some fallacy to say it's false:
