I realized today that Floyd JR is in his 40s and have come to grips with the reality that we'll most likely never see him fight again.
Looking back on his career, there's really nothing you can fault the guy for. The biggest disappointment was probably that he never fought Pac in his prime, but then again that wasn't his fault. The fight was ready to go down in '09 but Pacquiao's team backed out because of blood testing, which if you think about it, wasn't really that outrageous of a deman, especially with a fight of that caliber. The fight falling through in '09 was all Pac's fault.
Floyd has had one hell of a career with some spectacular wins over bonafide legends and HOF boxers. He put on clinics and master classes and showed how dominant a boxer in his highest form could actually be.
Thanks for the fights champ. Enjoy your retirement.
