He also did an interview before the casket photos, saying he was going to bath in Golovkin's blood. Then after the fight he plead ignorance not knowing about Golovkin's older brothers dying in the military.

It's a double sided sword. Curtis talking hypes up the fight in a big way, but then again it's a serious sport where guys occasionally get seriously hurt.

Yea, it's weird that DL kills himself to make weight, yet he's such a doughy looking mofo. Guy desperately needs a good strength and conditioning coach.


Side note, didn't take long for some salivating GG fan to turn this into a discussion about his savior. Why does every guy who GG beat suddenly become a favorite of the GG crowd? I don't have a problem with Golovkin but there sure are a lot of simple-minded goons that freak out when they get a whiff of anything within 6 degrees of separation...

Because Lemieux is an elite middleweight in 2017. Pound for pound power, good speed, good balance. All he really lacks is reach, but he's still a great fighter. He dominated Rosado who would have beat Quillin long before Jacobs did if not for corrupt PBC. He dominated N'Dam who only probably juiced Quillin had beaten that badly before. He showed an amazing chin vs GGG and only got hurt by body shots. He is a great fighter with a likeable personality and amazing power. He is great, entertaining, will fight anyone, and is likeable. He checks every box so the real question is why do you guys hate on him?

The issue isn't with GGG fans, who know how to evaluate talent. The issue is with fans like you who don't want to admit how good Lemieux is, because you don't want to admit how good GGG is. It's that simple. I believe Lemieux would KTFO Danny Jacobs probably worse than GGG would, because of the styles. Lemieux is better at throwing that one snappy punch that would put Jacobs lights out completely. Obviously GGG is better at wearing guys down, and a better all around fighter, but Lemieux keeps showing he is probably the #2 middleweight in the world. Why would you not respect a guy like that? Why would you not respect the best fighter in the division outside of a generational talent like GGG? If GGG wasn't there, we would all be looking at Lemieux as the boogeyman of that division. Even Jim Lampley was talking about how Canelo might duck Lemieux, because Lemieux is that good.

Oh yeah, you're a such multi-faceted and intellectual guy. But for some reason keep seeing only one side of a coin. As if posters who obsessively try to put down everything and everybody related to GGG do not exist. So if Lemeiux was at one point beaten by GGG, he can't be any good. Nevermind that he was a holder of one of major belts, which 99% of prize fighters never achieve...
