No I'm not racist either. I'm just a huge Boxing fan and I thought it was a great fight. I just give props where props is due.
But I really do hope Stevens is okay and I hope to see him fight again.
I am a fan of both Stevens and Lemeiux.

It's a shame but it's often what it takes to sell a fight. If you watch the IFL video where Hearn admits all the crap between Chisora and Whyte was fake you see what fighters and promoters think it takes to get people to take notice these days. Inevitably, some people take it abit too far.

They both made their contracted weight the day of the weigh in. The second day weigh in crap is only with the IBF which in any other sanctioning body, their weight on fight night would have no bearing. The only significant advantage Lemieux had was skill.

What were their weights last night? No one brought up that he didn't show up for the second weigh in. That's a significant advantage.

Yea, it's weird that DL kills himself to make weight, yet he's such a doughy looking mofo. Guy desperately needs a good strength and conditioning coach.


Side note, didn't take long for some salivating GG fan to turn this into a discussion about his savior. Why does every guy who GG beat suddenly become a favorite of the GG crowd? I don't have a problem with Golovkin but there sure are a lot of simple-minded goons that freak out when they get a whiff of anything within 6 degrees of separation...

Yeah, he must stay at 160lbs so he better get his act right because he doesn't have the height nor the reach (nor a full boxing arsenal tbh) to deal with tall and "lanky" 168lbers though one punch is all he needs. Actually, Degale who clearly overrates his boxing skills would probably try to mix it up on the inside with Lemieux instead of jabbing his way to a win.
