They're definitely gonna want a little help on the scales. 160 is becoming too difficult to make for them

Is former HW contender Jameel McCline Matt's manager or promoter now or something?

I'd rather see about ten other fights than this one for Lemieux, but good luck to Korobov on trying to put himself into the mix.

That bout was quickly accepted by Matt, but Top Rank came back a short period later and said, to their surprise, Ramirez didn’t want the fight.
Matt Korobov’s manager has informed BoxingScene.com that the middleweight contender has negotiated a release from his promotional contract with Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc. The Russian-born Korobov (27-1, 14 KOs) hopes the release enables him to land big fights in either the middleweight or super middleweight divisions. The decorated amateur is ranked at middleweight by the WBO (No. 9), WBC (No. 10) and IBF (No. 12).

I didn't think much of him turning down the Korobov fight because Ramirez is coming off of a layoff but shortly after an article pops up about Ramirez calling out Golovkin, Canelo and Chavez...

Korobov is a very talented and experienced fighter so, his amateur career proves it but he did not achieve the desired success in his professional career. I was waiting for him to beat Andy Lee but he did not do it. He is not young and has no chance of making mistakes! If he want to be world champion, he should make a good plan.

Korobov was a good fighter but it remains to be seen whether he can still fight at his best after such a long layoff. At 35, he doesn't have much time left to make the big fights happen. I think he deserves a chance against Lemieux though after the WBO removed him from their rankings after the Lee fight.
